Deflation rate in August 2025

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) recorded deflation rate of 0.23 percent (month-to-month) in August 2025, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) decreasing from 110.08 in July 2025 to 109.83 in August 2025. The year-on-year inflation rate was 2.50 percent, and the year-to-date inflation rate was 1.38 percent.

The largest contributor to monthly deflation was Food, Beverages, and Tobacco, which experienced deflation of 0.82 percent, contributing 0.29 percent to the inflation rate. The housing, water, electricity, and household fuels group experienced inflation of 0.28 percent in August 2025, contributing 0.03 percent to the inflation rate. The education group experienced inflation of 0.37 percent, contributing 0.02 percent to the inflation rate.

Commodities contributing predominantly to m-to-m deflation in August 2025 included rice, orange, house rent, shallot, and train fare. Meanwhile, commodities contributing predominantly to m-to-m inflation included tomato, cayenne pepper, garlic, chicken egg, and chicken meat.

Tourist Visits Decline

In July 2025, the Hotel Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) in Bojonegoro Regency reached 31.17 percent, a 2.07 point decrease compared to June 2025. This means that in July 2025, out of every 100 rooms available across all hotels in Bojonegoro Regency, 31 to 32 were sold each night. The decline in the TPK is expected to be in line with the decrease in the number of events held by the local government and the private sector in July 2025 in Bojonegoro Regency compared to the previous month, resulting in a decrease in demand for hotel rooms.

The average length of stay for hotel guests, both domestic and international, in Bojonegoro Regency in July 2025 reached 1.44 days. This means that, on average, a hotel guest stays for one or two days. Disaggregated by guest origin, domestic guests stayed an average of 1.45 days and international guests 1.15 days.
